Remembrance Day - November 11, 2011

Over 8600 in attendance at Credit Union Centre to remember and honour those who have served our country.  I'm so thankful to be Canadian and so proud to be living in Saskatoon.  You are the classiest people anywhere!  This is the largest indoor service in Canada... only the outdoor national service in Ottawa is bigger.  We can never forget that these rights and freedoms we enjoy were purchased with an enormous price, by men and women we may never meet.  Please... thank a veteran, a soldier, a police officer today for their service!

May God keep our land glorious and free always!

Remembrance Day Service - Credit Union Centre

posted by Randy Donauer    |   November 9, 2011 19:01

Please plan to attend the Remembrance Day Service at Credit Union Centre this Friday, November 11.  Doors open at 9:00 AM.  The band and choir perform at 9:30 AM.  Parade at 10:20 AM.  The service is excellent.

This week, when we have all exercised our democratic right to vote, why not come out and honour those who fought to protect those rights for us.  My favorite part is when the old guard walks in and the entire stadium stands, whistles and cheers for them.  Gets me every time.
